Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1783.

Cherry tall-case clock. The hood has a molded arch pediment with pierced fretwork, three turned and carved ball-and-flame finials on plinths, sidelights with astragal tops, free-standing turned columns at the front corners, engaged turned columns at the back corners, and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove and ogee moldings at the top, fluted quarter columns at the front corners and a case door with a shaped serpentine top. Stepped base with cove and ogee moldings at the top, and ogee moldings at the bottom. Engraved dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, engraved scrolls and acanthus leaves in the spandrels and lunette, and the inscription "Daniel Burnap East Windsor" in the lunette. Inside the chapter ring there is a seconds dial, a calendar aperture and engraved ornament consisting of scrolls and leaves. Eight day movement.
